Today, we held a breakfast meeting at our Legal Resources Foundation Trust (LRF) offices with Jacob "Ghost" Mulee to explore areas of mutual partnerships and collaborations. We also discussed how sport and the media may be leveraged as tools for advancing justice.
This morning our team led by the ED. Riaroh Esau held a consultative meeting with Mr. Jerry Chelulei from US Dept of State INL at Legal Resources Foundation Trust (LRF) offices to explore areas of mutual collaboration. Legal Resources Foundation Trust (LRF) has partnered with Women's Link to implement an advocacy project titled Rise-Up whose objective is to develop a Sexual & Gender Based Related Violence Policy targeting school going girls in Nairobi. This past Wed, the PRISONS REFORMS WORKING GROUP Working Group met the Technical Committee on Development of the Legal and Policy Framework for Correctional Services & presented detailed papers on issues raging from: human rights, SGBV, Parole, Climate Justice, Rehabilitation among others.
Coalition Action for Preventive Mental Health was humbled to give a view of the social model of mental health and how exposure to certain adversities during early developmental stages can lead to one becoming a victim or a perpetrator of crime.
