Firefighters on the Santa Barbara Ranger District will continue prescribed fire operations tomorrow along Painted Cave Road. Light smoke may be visible in areas near Highway 154, Painted Cave, and East Camino Cielo.

Paradise Road cabin owners & the FireSafe Council came over Wednesday for our fire protection/forest protection open house. The proactive work done by residents of this 100-year old community was credited for a 100% structure save rate, despite being regularly tested by wildfire.

Today at LP fire school a strong emphasis origin and cause investigations, great coordination with Law Enforcement and Investigation staff. This often does not get the recognition it deserves, however a critical piece to wildfire management and natural resource protection.
