Had a great day with Montgomeryshire WT, at Llandinam Gravels sorting out fence repairs. We removed a damaged section of fencing, cleared off debris from another section, and also removed tree guards from the now established saplings. #volunteering #nature

Had a great day with Montgomeryshire WT, repairing board walk at Glaslyn reserve, spotted some beautiful orchids, and saw loads of meadow pipits, as well as skylarks which is a first for me! And then to top it off we may have got the tiniest bit stuck in the bog trying to return home!

Lots of criticism on twitter for councils cutting flower-rich verges, and rightly so. Hats off to Powys County Council for letting our local verges grow despite opposition from the ‘tidy brigade’. Meadowsweet, yarrow, birdsfoot trefoil, meadow brown & ringlet aplenty. More of this please
