Current LAist CEO making 627K, former CEO making 550K (for 0 hours worked)... but sure, let go of producers, reporters and board ops, they're the problem. What a joke...

Neither does paying a former CEO half a mil for almost five years to do nothing.

Solidarity with We Make LAist (formerly KPCC) today as they face this shocking news. We’re appalled at the lack of transparency around this action, especially after We Make LAist (formerly KPCC) just secured a new contract. This is not operating in good faith and not a good representation of labor relations.

I’m so glad people are reading the 990s and feeling outraged. Especially as I learn that LAist bragged about not making cuts on their pledge drive last week. The level of cruelty is off the charts.
