Too many people think "Latinos" are a monolith. They disregard religion (more protestants vote Republican than Catholics), language (more Spanish-dominant speakers prefer the Democratic Party than English-dominant ones), country (Cubans), racial markers, & Indigenous identity.

As I've said for years, "Latino" as a measurable cohort DOES. NOT. EXIST. "Latino" is only useful for non-latinos; exists to sustain a marketing industry. "Latino" can mean an urban Chicano leftist and a white woman in Texas and an Afro-Cuban etc. I avoid the term in my work.
