The argument that life in college hockey is too good, and players should avoid experiencing that bliss because they might not have it in the future, is not one I expected from the WHL commish. College Hockey Inc., should be sending gift baskets for this message.

This article is bananas. NHL teams are supposed to grow the game in their areas, not this. While there are two sides to every story with hockey parents, if only half the things in this article are true the Stars need a major reset in their leadership. usatoday.com/story/news/invโ€ฆ

Minnesotaโ€™s community-based hockey model is always under attack from outside groups selling โ€œbetterโ€ hockey and the idea that that elite players need to leave the model. In reality, MN is exactly where they should be.

Last week I had a post comparing Minnesota and Michigan. I had a bunch of people reach out asking for the same exercise for Minnesota and Massachusetts. Here are the numbers: USA Hockey Youth Registration in 2007-2008: Minnesota: 45,168 Massachusetts: 40,017 Difference: 5,151

๐ŸšจINVESTIGATION: Private equity giants are buying up youth sports facilities & banning parents from taking photos/videos of their own kids, instead forcing them to pay for photos. When parents ignore the bans, the companies punish the kids. What stage of capitalism is this?

Community hockey is identity, not industry. In this #TCSLiveMinnesota presentation, Mike Snee of the Minnesota Wild issues a challenge: protect the roots, know the numbers, and act before the model drifts into something unrecognizable. Minnesota Wild Gives Back WATCH: hubs.la/Q03XQjSj0
