Less than 5% of wild alligator eggs survive to adulthood. Regulated farms collect eggs, hatch them safely, and return a portion to the wild. Farming protects populations and supports conservation. 🐊 #SustainableFarming #ConservationSuccess

Real vs. Fake: Can you spot the difference? 🐊✨ 1️⃣ Genuine alligator leather—durable, unique, and built to last. 2️⃣ Fake leather (PVC & urethane)—plastic-based, cracks, peels, and won’t biodegrade. Would you be able to tell just by looking? 👀👇 #SustainableFashion

Myth busting: Are alligators endangered? 🐊🤔 Nope! They made a full comeback decades ago—off the endangered species list since 1987. Thanks to conservation + regulated farming, gators are thriving. Nature + science = win.

Gators don’t just live in the bayou, they build it! From digging watering holes to balancing animal populations, these ancient creatures are the original ecosystem engineers. Respect the real architects of the swamp.🐊🔨👏

Both of these alligator eggs are viable — the difference in band size tells us their age. The smaller the band, the younger the egg. Subtle signs like this help farmers gauge development during egg collection season

LSU vs. Florida Gators tonight… but when it comes to real gator numbers, Louisiana’s on top. 📍 LA: 2M+ wild gators (+ nearly 1M farmed) 📍 FL: ~1.3M wild gators Scoreboard or not, Louisiana always wins the gator game. 😉

The American alligator’s eyes and nostrils sit high on their head — letting them see and breathe while the rest of their body stays hidden beneath the water. Perfectly built for life in the Louisiana wetlands. 🌾

Those photos of alligators with their snouts sticking out of ice during winter storms are not frozen gators. They are snorkeling.🤿 It lets them breathe while staying still and conserving energy until warmer weather returns. Stay safe out there.🩵
