Day 3 (2nd day of F2F) of intensive UL clinic 💪 ⬆️ Increasing- All participants inc reps & use in ADL P1- 71 day 1, 192 today P2- 287 day 1, 1378 today P3- 169 day 1, 356 today P4- unwell today ↔️ Stable- fatigue & pain scores ⬇️Reducing- spasticity, effort, shoulder hitching

Day 3- (on A3 paper) pen taped in hand. Pics showing start & end of the day. Huge improvement in mvt & lovely visual demo for understanding progress. Apraxic mvts initially stuck in forward & backwards, great once ‘unstuck’. This lovely lady hasn’t used her arm at all for 3yrs!!

So many rehab tech studies state tech changes behaviour by ⬆️engagement, ⬆️motivation etc but few overtly use any of the models, theories or frameworks that guide behaviour change. We need to think out of traditional silos to harness potential of tech to improve stroke rehab 🤔

Such an important slide we shared this week in Indonesia- comprehensive stroke care saves the most lives but rehab as an intervention alone is right up there too. We still underestimate its power.

Yesterday Rowan Rehab (stroke and neuro) said goodbye, good luck and a huge thank you to the fantastic Amanda England (ANP).
