Great video from Delta Goodrem highlighting how debilitating loss of voice and loss of communication can be (especially if your livelihood depends on it!).
I have a very long drive to get to placement so have been passing the time by listening to a Harry Potter audiobook narrated by Stephen Fry....thanks to Cath Gregory, PhD’s Voice classes, I now think about whether he had enough vocal rest while recording the audiobook! 🤦🏼♀️
Hooray for finishing our Clinical Placement 2! 🎉 Thank you Capable Kids South Coast and Lily Jane Partridge for making this placement such a wonderful experience. #SLP2B
Celebratory photo for finishing our final class! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who helped us through our two-year Masters at Speech Pathology at UTS, especially Professor Emma Power and David Kinnane for teaching our final subject. We’re so close now! #SLP2B
I'm really looking forward to presenting some of the findings from our #StrawBan survey. BronwynHemsley #SLPResearch
I have just finished the first day of my final adult clinical placement! 🗣🧠👂🤓 Thanks Dr Lucy Bryant Cath Gregory, PhD and Rosie Stern Pooley for a great first day of orientation. #FourWeeksToGo #SLP2B
I just finished presenting my findings into people's views and use of plastic straws at the #GoSHSpeechSEER. I have never presented at an event like this before, so it was an exciting (and nerve-wracking) experience. Thanks Speech Pathology at UTS and BronwynHemsley for this opportunity!
Yesterday was an exciting day...I submitted my research thesis investigating people’s views and usage of straws, and thoughts on the #StrawBan. A big thank you to my supervisors BronwynHemsley and Brad Murray; I wouldn’t be here without you. 🎉 #SLP2B
