Svechkov's ability to play through contact was very impressive for a rookie last season. Sure he wasn't going out of his way to seek it (low proactive peripherals and just good forecheck engagement) but he was able to shoulder pressure & leverage his physicality all over the ice.

Nazar's signing almost exactly reflects our market expectation for him on an 8y deal, which was at 6.53M. This extension should be a surplus deal on the whole. I'm very high on him and would not be shocked to see this turn into a superb value contract. 📈 lb-hockey.com
