Great article about the inspiring women in leadership roles in the Cornell College of Engineering Cornell Engineering, including Cornell BME ‘s Dr Marjolein v/d Meulen. Their number is about to reach an historic high. What a wonderful place to work! news.cornell.edu/stories/2024/0…

Amazing cooperation with the teams of Felix Ritort, Marco Baiesi and Paco Monroy 🥳. There is so much to learn from fluctuations and smart ways to study and analyze them. But I fear this is the last time I am on a paper reporting data I personally obtained🤔. #I_miss_the_lab😭

New preprint alert 🚨 Chengjie Luo and Yicheng pushed the boundaries on understanding phase separation of liquids with many components: In arxiv.org/abs/2403.06666, we study the influence of higher-order interactions, which are crucial in complex molecules, like in #condensates.

When catalyzing the urea-urease reaction, the BSA droplets develop internal flows. Reducing their adhesion with the surface on which they sit (see pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…) allows them to swim towards each other!

Happy to present my poster today IDP GRC in Les Diablerets! It's poster 6 and I'll show how we extract information on the structure of disordered proteins in condensates from small-angle X-ray scattering ⚡️ Laboratory of Soft and Living Materials Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source University of Zurich
