A new beastie from my work in progress.

I’ve been posting details of my work in progress. I thought it would be fun to zoom out and show the whole piece. The pen is there for scale. This is done on a 18” x 24” sheet of Arches hotpress paper.

Progress/ process

Tonight’s random art post is an old, unused illustration for a short story by Caitlin R. Kiernan called Houndwife. I always liked the implied, but structurally unlikely twist of the millipede behind the figure’s neck. Ultimately, I went with something else.

Another random art post. This was an illustration done for a comic project published by IDW a number of years ago. The open space was left for text.

This is my favorite picture of my dad, taken on a roadtrip in northern England in the early 60s. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
