Peak rail fares are an unfair tax on workers and students. 🚅 Join us in calling for them to be scrapped for good. 👇 greens.scot/endpeakfares

This week Scottish Government will set out plans for the year ahead, including a new Climate Bill. Ministers must not keep pretending it's just a "minor" legislative change. Instead it must be an opportunity to reset climate policy to get Scotland back on track. greens.scot/news/climate-a…

🚨 BREAKING: National Park officers have recommended that their board REJECT Flamingo Land's mega-resort application! This is an amazing victory for our campaign but it's not over yet. We'll keep campaigning for the board to vote to reject at the public hearing on 16 Sept 🫸🦩

🛑Some of the world's biggest weapons dealers are coming to Edinburgh next month for an arms conference. 🚨These companies arm some of the worst human rights abusers on our planet. ➡️Call on the EICC to stop hosting war profiteers today: greens.scot/EICCArmsTrade

🧵 Wes Streeting was right to say that all roads lead back to Westminster Nowhere is that more true than the last 14 years of cuts to public services But, the Scottish Government has choices The SNP have chosen to slash spending on climate action whilst protecting big business

Ross Greer (@ross_greer) 's Twitter Profile Photo

They've cut budgets for: Nature restoration Walking, wheeling and cycling Energy efficiency And brought back peak rail fares scrapped by Scottish Greens Then raided Scotwind offshore wind income, which was intended for investment in the future, especially the green economy.

The SNP could have cut back on business tax breaks which their own review found weren't even working Instead, they've slashed spending on climate action, brought back peak rail fares and axed free bus travel for asylum seekers (all of which had been delivered by Scottish Greens)

Today's cuts are a disaster for our environment. Climate action is more vital than ever, but the SNP is taking us backwards.

A train station in #Winchburgh would be transformative for the town. Allowing locals to leave their cars at home and travel to Linlithgow, Falkirk, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Lorna Slater in parliament yesterday ⤵️

The SNP have announced: ▶️ Climate funding: slashed ▶️ Free school meal expansion: dropped ▶️ Conversion practices ban: shelved ▶️ Peak rail fares: reintroduced ▶️ Active travel funding: cut This is not how you build a fairer, greener Scotland.

It's been over a decade since Winchburgh was promised a train station. The community deserves a reliable public transport connection to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Safe Access Zones Scotland Bill will come into force from September 24th! 😀 This is a pivotal moment for reproductive rights in Scotland. I am delighted that we have an implementation date and that change is coming.

Such a huge moment for so many! Gillian Mackay MSP and her team, as well as the incredible campaigners and activists who have worked to make this Bill a reality should be immensely proud. 🎉
