Today we celebrate the Feast of St Michael. St Michael holds a special place in the Loreto tradition, as he is credited with protecting the sisters of the early days of the Bar Convent. St Michael, pray for us.

Today in Manresa, Spain, the General Congregation of the IBVM begins. This will see representatives of the different #Loreto provinces & regions around the world come together for two weeks to both reflect & look forward, “to think and vision broadly across Institute boundaries.”

For the past three days, delegates to the IBVM General Congregation have been in an intensive discernment process regarding the third step of the Becoming One process, for the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Congregation of Jesus to become one religious Institute.
