1st time @ Royal Ascot for a long time We’ve bought a pitch for £5k just to be here so not expecting a lot but I’ve learnt anything from bookmaking over the years it’s to expect the unexpected… Book Looks in the thread Below 👀⬇️🧵

Martyn of Leicester worked nights in a factory & his dream was to become a racecourse bookie. He made it come true. And he's my favourite. Always immaculate. Always professional. Consistent, prepared, & gutsy. #MoneyWithoutWork #RoyalAscot

Kevin Routledge, passed away Wednesday 25th June at 2.27pm after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was a very good brick layer and also a very good layer on the Racecourses commencing in 1978. He was very well liked and respected by many. RIP

Sad to report the passing of racecourse workman Alan Bowles at the age of 66 He came to the racing game with Ronnie Newton, moved on and around with Jackie Cohen, John White and latterly with Dougie Goldstein and Benny Services as their main rep Known for his razor sharp banter.

“Your drop Bill…” Jack and Billy never missed Doms night at the Woodman on Selby Road, LS15. Can’t believe it doesn’t have a blue plaque to commemorate once being their local! #LUFC #70sLeeds #ALAW #MOT
