Awesome rings of power today. The idea of Bombadil putting the ring on casually came back to me afterward. Sauron jumps in, "I SEE... wait what? Bombadil!?" He then gets an hour of bombadil singing at him. Well done, rop. Tom is growing on me 😁

I was so happy to see this. Orcs are a tortured mirror of life, including this. The way they snarl at each other was perfect. They're survivors. Orcs have babies. Wargs have puppies. Doesn't make them any less terrifying. Reminder, they're branding people in the next trench :)

My favorite tolkein theme: evil is self-defeating. Morgoth was largely ignored until he attacked the trees and silmarils. The noldor pursued, so when Men arrived, they found allies where there would have been few before. His evil cost him easy prey in Men and forged his defeat.

#TROPspoilers I love the twist on the dwarven rings. The dwarves are resistant to Sauron's influence, per the lore, but not to their own innate flaws. The rings exacerbate their owner's weaknesses to gain power, but the dwarves aren't slaves to Sauron. A beautiful backfire!
