Dr. Inga Saknite from Vanderbilt Health training Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) physicians and personnel to acquire photos of patients with monkeypox lesions in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The global coordinator of the Polio Laboratory Network, Doctor Ousmane Diop was received at Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) as part of the accreditation process of the Polio laboratory in virology. He also visited the Pathogen Genomic Lab - INRB and its DDNS unit where sequencing activities are carried out.

What an exciting day with NHLDS and Africa CDC in 148.8 Kilometers from Kampala, at Mubende Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH) which is the Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in order to test the deployment of the mobile laboratory brought from Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) Pathogen Genomic Lab - INRB (#DRCongo).

In order to initiate, build capacity and make the Laboratoire national de Centrafrique of Central African Republic self-sufficient in SARS-CoV-2 genomic surveillance, the Pathogen Genomic Lab - INRB hosted two members from CAR for a 14-day training. This training is supported by the EPR-WHO/Dakar Hub and WCO CAR.


In order to initiate, build capacity and make the Baney Investigation Lab of Equatorial Guinea self-sufficient in SARS-CoV-2 genomic surveillance, the Pathogen Genomic Lab - INRB hosted two members from this lab for a 15-day training. This training is supported by the WHO African Region /EPR Dakar Hub.


The Pathogen Genomic Lab - INRB of Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) welcomed teams from Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and Burundi for 15 days of training on SARS-CoV-2 sequencing and introduction to bioinformatics.
