Used to bang out 2k words a day. Now with the new job, I’m lucky to scrape 500. Feels demoralizing, but maybe I’m being too hard on myself. Progress is still progress, right?

So this new job is taking a lot more of my time than I thought... Once I establish a rhythm, hopefully I'll have more time to write and post on Twitter.

Neil Gaiman has 8 rules he gives to writers and future authors: 6. Revise, but don’t obsess forever. Fix what needs fixing. Sharpen your sentences, polish the rough edges, but know when to let go. Perfection doesn’t exist. There will always be another tweak, another change you

I don’t write perfect heroes... I write people who bleed, who break, and still stand back up. That’s the kind of story I want to read... and I won’t apologize for writing it.

If you want to read my books and CAN'T afford them, please please please DM me and let me know. I'll send them to you myself. Many authors will be willing to do that, so please don't pirate books. Except for being illegal, it's also an awful thing to do.

So I have really cute kids story written, but I have never done anything with it. So I think this weekend I am going to do a lot of work on it to improve it for a higher concept submission. And that includes starting work on the illustration. But is it worthwhile when I like

So for those that write dark fantasy or any level of grimdark... Where do you pull your inspiration from? Mine comes from childhood experiences and military deployments. Lots of pain points to pull from.
