@local_air

I love living in Newhaven, it is a working port but it's also where people live, industry is fine, inadequately monitored industry is not!

Appears Southern Water have offered a 50% discount to one of the Kent protesters who has been refusing to pay their water bill. Perhaps @Defra Ofwat Environment Agency can explain why exactly it is that members of the public are having to do their job for them?

Feargal Sharkey Southern Water defra Ofwat Environment Agency Maybe we go for a national boycott on our water bills until there is public admission from water company CEO's & a transparent plan of action of how to rectify the situation presented by each regional water business.... they might do something then.

Hearing date set for Irish Cement Incinerator case #environment It is a mammoth task for an individual to take on such formidable opposition as EPA, Irish Cement, Minister Eamon Ryan & AG all together. Thanks Limerick Post for keeping people up to date #Limerick #Tipperary #Clare

It's obscene to use the word 'restoration' in this context it's nothing of the sort. It is simply enabling the behaviour of the water companies and ongoing failure of the Environment Agency. Deal with flow and water quality, then you'll have a foundation, if not it's all greenwashing.

It's already been hinted at by 1 EA employee low level reports often lead to the discovery of much bigger, more widespread, harmful pollution incidents. Here now is the proof. Time for change. Time to go.

Rachel Salvidge The insidious nature of the cosy relationship between the water industry and its so called regulator which is now nothing more than a pollution facilitator. Independent inquiry long overdue.

The logic of our planning system where industrial processing companies in towns like Newhaven self monitor, we could have 15 incinerators or tarmac plants next to a AQMA but the air is still clean and healthy Clean Air for Southall and Hayes Sussex Bylines Duncan MacG. Murray
