There is SO much advice on scientific writing. But honestly, only ONE thing consistently improves writing Cut 👏out 👏unnecessary 👏 words 👏 There is a reason why you are penalised for going over the word count, not under it.

One of the hardest things to communicate in science is that it's not only important for research to finding new things but also go back to the same things and look for new ways to do them

My favourite part about academia is where you spend years learning everything about for field of research then the rest of your time evading questions about it at parties with non-academics
