Japan's biggest nuclear power plant takes another step towards resuming operations 🇯🇵❤️☢️ ⚠️ Tepco is loading fuel at the No. 6 reactor at Kashiwazaki Kariwa today (No. 7 loaded last year) 👉 The reactors now just need local approval before they can resume. But timeline unclear

A cold anomaly is returning to the far North Atlantic, also known as a "warming hole". The long-range forecasts show it will grow and persist into Winter 2025/2026, with historical data showing a connection to a colder winter pattern over North America severe-weather.eu/long-range-2/a…

Gas in power works if the gas is produced within the country; probably within the region within the country. That's why it's domestic producers making the plea. Basing power generation growth on imported #LNG is a fool's errand. Maybe a sliver stacks up against batteries. #ONGT

"Basing power generation growth on imported #LNG is a fool's errand" - Eypgt, Vietnam and South Africa. Your guys are not rich enough to subsidize it like Taiwan and South Korea

EdF has discovered some new cracks in one of its nuclear power plants (that it had repaired). Too early to know how significant the discovery is, and whether a repetition of the (multi reactor) problem of the past is likely. But certainly one for the “to watch closely” tray.

Hard to believe Egypt can afford these prices indefinitely, even if TTF drops. But they are committed through summer 2026, which is a nice boost for #LNG sellers as LNG supply begins to surge in 2026. #ONGT
