On the heels of some chatter on the value of protocol papers, I’m happy to share…a protocol paper! We describe our Veterans Coordinated Community Care study, pairing a ML algorithm for suicide risk detection w/a targeted Tx after inpatient hospitalization onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/mp…
One very concrete step we could take is to adopt population-level approaches & policies, such as later high school & middle school start times, that promote mental health & wellbeing by protecting kids’ sleep. We can & should do better. Healthy Hours Sleep and Chronobiology Lab Michael Podraza
New paper! It’s been very meaningful to support Maji Hailemariam, PhD and her team in Flint, doing this formative work on #PeerNavigation for people w/ #SMI transitioning from jail detention. Excited to see where the Tx development work goes from here… …tfeasibilitystudies.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
✍️ co-sign! Hope y'all find a moment to celebrate this milestone while those of us on the "other side" push up our sleeves for the hard task of reviewing. 👩💻 If you're Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies check out our #APPICinternship panel. We'll discuss what happens next; interviews, match lists + more!
At this moment, it feels especially poignant to share that all of the "lessons learned" in this paper came from our collective experiences leading National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) funded studies on suicide. The paper itself was inspired by our NIMH colleagues, champions of #SuicidePrevention in the US.
This year, our new clinical psychology residents started their training at street-level - walking and learning in the neighborhoods of the people they will serve. Brown & Providence More: psych.med.brown.edu/news/2025-07-3…
