I had a fantastic flight this morning with Kenmore Air from Victoria #yyj to Friday Harbor. With the Sydney to Anacortes ferry suspended indefinitely this is a super service. It saved hours of driving and ferry line ups and I got to enjoy these views. A+++ experience, thank you!

I had a great conversation with Michael Hawk (@naturesarchive.bsky.social) about #shiftingbaselines and #historicalecology. Check out the podcast here! podcast.naturesarchive.com/2023/08/28/shi…

New in ICES Oxford Journals Oxford Academic about the recent history of Maine coastal fisheries, the Maine DMR programs that study them, and how state agency scientists are thinking about the climate-driven challenges ahead:tinyurl.com/4dxbchr3

Shifting Baselines affects how we perceive nature and our conservation decisions. Learn about this complex topic in Jumpstart Nature Podcast episode 4! Thanks Loren McClenachan, @aawhipple_phd, Francisco Saavedra Jr, and Ben Goldfarb for telling the story! buff.ly/3FfyNmT

Congratulations to UVic Env Studies PhD student Elias del Valle for winning the @TBuckSuzuki Legacy Bursary Award! You can read more about his work here: bucksuzuki.org/time_to_consid…
