Happy ! 🐸 The flat-headed was discovered to be in 2008—prior to this, only some salamanders and a caecilian were known to lack lungs! Its lack of lungs is an adaptation to the cool, fast flowing streams of Kalimantan, . pic.twitter.com/EyQDurX08I

In a new paper co-authored by our Museum’s fish curator, Tan Heok Hui, four new species of Channa from Myanmar have recently been described! The description of these new species brings the total number of species of the Gachua group in Myanmar to 10.
