It's been more than a year—413 days to be exact—that my friend and The Wall Street Journal colleague has been wrongfully detained by Russia, simply for doing his job as a journalist. Evan was mentioned on Jeopardy! last week. I hope more learned about his case from that. There's more work to do.

"Russian investigators haven’t publicly presented evidence to back up their allegation against Gershkovich. At a trial, Gershkovich would enjoy little, if any, of the due process he would be afforded in the U.S. or other countries." #enoughisenough #istandwithevan #bringevanhome

Falsely accused WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich appeared in a Russian court as proceedings started in a secret trial that will offer him few legal protections on.wsj.com/3XzzCl3 on.wsj.com/3XzzCl3

This is a sham trial and this day should have never come. Evan was an accredited journalist when he was wrongfully detained by Russia’s security services 15 months ago. He is innocent. The time to bring Evan home is now. #JournalismIsNotACrime #IStandWithEvan #FreeEvan
