Had an extremely blowy walk this morning to see the first Stolperstein in Scotland - in memory of Jane Haining - in Edinburgh.

I was shooting low with the Leica SL and 90-280mm, trying to capture people with umbrellas against the NYC fog and light from 42nd Street. Most shots felt cliché, but then... this one happened. A passing car perfectly framed my subject. You can't plan moments like this!

It is with enormous sadness that we hear of the death of one of the giants of Scottish Heraldry, Mark Dennis, formerly Ross Herald Extraordinary. Even more extraordinary is the legacy of love and artistry Mark leaves behind him. We send our heartfelt condolences to Mark's family.

We have huge respect for the agents who were dropped into occupied Europe in WW2. Many of them left from this barn on the edge of Tempsford airfield. Inside, is the memorial to them – it was here that they were kitted out with the parachutes and kit before their mission:

A few months ago, I was a guest on a podcast where I talked about how I got into photographing old houses, the experiences I’ve had, what I’ve learned, and how much I respect the families connected to these places. I even shared how I’m a "reformed trespasser" after hearing the

I have tried and failed for a decade to capture this view in #Pittsburgh, and this morning I was finally able to. In this scene, the Duquesne Incline passes above the train tracks right as a Norfolk Southern train was going underneath it. Can't believe my luck that it worked out.
