During the upcoming visit to Belgium, The HAC Band will be giving performances in Ypres Market Square between 2pm – 4pm on Fri 28th July.

Having arrived in Belgium for their annual training exercise, the band took time today to rehearse for their upcoming concerts. The music features a varied ‘Best of British’ programme, which includes music from the Beatles, James Bond Films and Vaughan Williams.

This has been a very significant 'deployment' by the The Honourable Artillery Company Regimental Band - its engagements took place at iconic and very moving locations, forever linked to the memory of such great sacrifice... but the Band provides an uplifting and rousing experience, unequalled in quality and style!

Bringing our Belgium Tour to a close, The HAC Band have spent time over the past two days immersing themselves in the history that resonates in this area. Cont.

The band started by participating in a guided tour at Lion’s Mound - Memorial of the Battle of Waterloo, and the connecting Hougoumont Farm. Cont.

Led by WO2 (BSM) Duncan, we visited locations poignant to The Great War, culminating in a visit to Tyne Cot Cemetery, where 11,961 servicemen are buried or commemorated. The cemetery is the resting place for a number of fallen HAC Soldiers, to whom the band paid their respects.

Having returned from our annual training exercise in Belgium last week, The HAC Band would like to thank Major (QM) Grieve, HAC Regiment & WO1 Buckell, 162 Regiment RLC who assisted the band throughout the tour to Belgium. Their logistical support made the trip a roaring success

We also thank LSgt Nigel Turner, who joined us from the PWRR Band on saxophone, featuring in a number of solos during concert performances.
