While it’s definitely not necessary for authors to do, I absolutely LOVE perusing the Agent Guides some authors pin to the top of their profiles. It’s so fun getting to see the story’s top level highlights and themes!

While going through submissions, I've noticed a few synopses that have excluded the story's ending. While I love being surprised by endings, please make sure to cover the entirety of your story in the synopsis — it can often help when deciding to request more materials!

Another agent mentioned this, and I wanted to share my thoughts as well. If I request 50 pages and your chapter ends on page 53, please don’t worry! I’ll never reject a partial for being a few pages over what I asked for. I want to know what happens at the end of the chapter too!
