Thanks Strider for greeting all of our families this morning on a gorgeously quiet Eastfield Rd! Leicester City Council #leicester Living Streets #cleanairday

Well done to pupils at Dovelands Primary School and Rushey Mead Primary School who celebrated #CleanAirDay #Leicester by using traffic-free spaces to play sport, games and other activities. What a fantastic day! ChooseHowYouMove Leicester City Council 🤸🏑🏸🌻

We loved supporting Wakefield Council with #BeatTheStreet! Beat the Street turns your neighbourhood into a game, with players scoring points by travelling on foot between sensors. Over 2,800 people and 9 schools got involved, and Strider loved our family Zumba 💃 Beat the Street HQ

Great to see the report I wrote for Bikeability and Living Streets having an impact on national policy Our polling found that 81% of people agree there is too much motor traffic around schools - a national consensus!

Well done to pupils at Barley Hill Primary School!

Did you spot Living Streets at Landor LINKS Active City York conference? Tanya Braun highlighted how walking can transform communities and support the UK economy, in a lively discussion chaired by Dr Jo Maher NHS GP 💪 #ACY25 Active Travel England

We enjoyed hearing Chris Boardman CBE and Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith David Skaith talk about the physical and mental health benefits of active travel and the importance of getting cross-party support for walking, wheeling and cycling (hear, hear!) 🚶♀️🚲 #ACY25 Active Travel England

Last week pupils from St. Oswald's Primary joined us on stage at Active City to tell us why walking, wheeling and cycling is important to them, and what the grown-ups need to do to make it easier. Then they helped us design a school street, live! Hear more from the pupils ⤵️

Strider loved visiting Annfield Plain Infants for their ‘Green Day’ to celebrate their Green Eco Schools Award. Congratulations on being such a caring school! 🌻 A big thank you to Kathryn, our Walk to School Outreach partner from Durham County Council for joining in the fun 💃

“From a health point of view activity is one of the best things you can do.” Professor Chris Whitty Prof Sir Chris Whitty. Small changes to streets help make walking, wheeling and cycling easier and more accessible. Leading to happier and healthier communities.
