NFBUK Lord Peter Hendy Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan It’s disingenuous to say he wasn’t consulted. We’ve both been at meetings where it was discussed in length. There’s a lot of support for this locally -those pushing back are wealthier 🚗 owners who don’t want streets for ppl. Genuinely don’t see how it’s “inaccessible” at all.

Lower Marsh in Waterloo. Pedestrianised and clearly with very chill licensing laws. Even the greengrocer has people on tables outside drinking wine! More of this! A more fun world is possible!

We are dismayed our LTN is to be removed given the multiple community benefits and wide spread support 😔 We ask Lambeth council to reintroduce it after consulting on a permanent traffic order 💚 #SaveOurLTN

West Dulwich Action Group 5 proud bullies from West Dulwich Action Group trying to ruin our safer roads and council. Pro-car X / medias loves them, but the real community💚💚💚 is asking to save Lambeth Council LTN safer streets.

I went to the TfL / Lambeth exhibition of plans for the new cycle lanes on Streatham High Road. It looks great. When I arrived there were lots of drivers chanting “better things aren’t possible” & “let’s never improve anything.” Construction starts in 6 weeks, can’t wait.

Had a very productive meeting with Tfl this morning re the Streatham Hill / A23 cycle lanes / new crossings / bus stops. Contrary to the misinformation some are sharing, the bus stops, crossings & protected cycle lanes WILL BE INCLUSIVE & ACCESSIBLE. Including for VI folk. 💅🏻

Hi Redwing Coaches - one of your coaches mounted the pavement and destroyed a bollard while lots of children were walking to school on Valley Road this morning. This is dangerous driving on a street with weight restrictions.
