Excerpt: A Meal Is a Meal by Nnamdi Anyadu "The ebony of her skin gleamed, even in weak light. Her cheekbones were high and defined. Her neck, slender and svelte. Her hips wider than her shoulders. Her butt, a glory." Narrative Landscape Press littafi.com/news/excerpt-a…
The AkeArts&BookFestival in #Lagos, #Nigeria is a vibe! This annual book extravaganza, an unapologetic celebration of literature, is also about music, fashion, food & film. The force behind the festival is its preternaturally dynamic founder Lọlá Shónẹ́yìn- also a celebrated author.
The Book of Fallen Leaves by A. S. Tamaki is a masterfully composed, brutally enthralling fantasy epic with notes of Martin, Clavell, and Inoue. Tamaki's debut is already a 2026 Book of the Year contender in my eyes. Bookmark it. Orbit Books
Last year, 4 members of the Book Club were at AkeArts&BookFestival. This year, we had 8 in attendance🙂↕️ Members came from Uyo, Jos, Abuja, Akure & Oluyole. And the wizard of Ake came; Wole Soyinka Below are a few highlights✨ More on Instagram: instagram.com/p/DRZ9omIjPBz/… #AkeFest25
