Here’s a photo of Major John R. Bricker and his G.A.R. regiment which held a reunion in Lititz Springs Park in 1902. Bricker is back row, fifth from the left. The G.A.R., or Grand Army of the Republic, was a fraternal organization made up of veterans who served in the Civil War.

Salem Lutheran Church in Kissel Hill first began with the cornerstone laying on June 1st 1823, after a one-acre lot was purchased for $60. The total cost of construction, after all of the labor and materials, came to a total of $2,060.22.
