In Brussels, 🇱🇹DefMin Dovilė Šakalienė noted that Ukraine’s successful Operation “Spiderweb” exemplifies the necessary pressure to shift Russia’s approach to negotiations.

🇱🇹DefMin Dovilė Šakalienė signed a Letter of Intent in Brussels today to procure CV90 MkIV infantry fighting vehicles. Lithuania joins 🇫🇮🇸🇪🇳🇴🇪🇪🇳🇱 in this joint programme, with deliveries set to begin in 2028. A key step toward a fully operational Lithuanian_Armed_Forces division by 2030.

🇱🇹 At a FNF Europe conference on deterrence and defence, Viceminister Tomas Godliauskas underscored: deterrence in our region must be credible. Lithuania is actively investing in kinetic & non-kinetic capabilities – sending a clear message: any aggression will meet a swift response.
