I’m off to #Seoul for ten days. I have a long list (mostly gathered from #kdramas!) but, if you’ve been, what’s one thing I really shouldn’t miss? Food, sights, experiences, bookshops - I’m up for it all! #southkorea

When you go into a bookshop do you prefer it if the booksellers just say hello and offer to help if you need it or if the bookseller starts to recommend things immediately and bring suggestions to you?

Me in Seoul featured a jaunt to the expats’ fav bookshop because I’m obsessed with the written word 🤩 You can’t really understand a place until you’ve explored its bookshops, right?

Well this is disappointing #euro2024 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 More yellow cards than goals. No creativity or momentum. Foden offside. Slipping on pitch. Sigh.

The women would have this sorted by now. On that, men’s team play the women in a friendly. Have they ever? How do we make that happen? I would pay.

I dream about being deserted. Sounds relaxing! Has to be different genres and long backlist so Shakespeare, John Le Carre and Nora Roberts. I wouldn’t be bored for months

I fold corners to bookmark and I’ll never stop because it reminds me how often I paused (less folds = incredible read)

A housing secretary who lived in social housing, an education secretary who was on free school meals, a science minister who left school without qualifications and then studied as a mature student; these are meaningful political hinterlands for these roles
