Our Welsh Metal Mines Programme team held an interesting session Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales and River Trusts from across Wales this week. This included a site visit to Cwmystwyth and a workshop exploring opportunities for the trusts to support our programme with nature-based solutions

We are currently facilitating site works at Chester Moor Nature Reserve to allow The Mining Remediation Authority to upgrade their infrastructure by replacing a failing pipeline. The pipeline serves the on-site mine water pumping station and works are essential due to its deteriorating

Great to be on site with colleagues and supply chain at Thorpe Hesley, Yorkshire to see early stages of construction of Mining Remediation Authority mine water treatment scheme. The scheme will protect drinking water for 2400 people and treat up to 2.36 billion litres of mine water each year

We're proud to launch one of the first mine water heat schemes in Wales! This groundbreaking project is transforming the coal mining legacy into a sustainable energy solution. Watch the video to find out more! #MineWaterHeat #SustainableEnergy #EnergySecurity Innovate UK
