It was a wonderful day with Title groups today! Everyone shared something they were thankful for, enjoyed snacks and lemonade around tables together, and colored on the Thanksgiving tablecloths. My heart is overflowing with the joy and thankful hearts of our kiddos! #PKVProud

At root, “discovery learning” means intentionally keeping new information from students and forcing them through a frustrating, unproductive struggle through which very few of them will actually learn the content Just explain and teach it already!

Definition: Elementary 1. Relating to basic elements of a subject. 2. straightforward; uncomplicated. Maybe our focus in K-4 should be less complex in nature and more explicit in teaching the basics. Learning "holes" develop because we move too fast too soon! #PKVproud

Jesus is the exclamation point of Heaven. He is the way, the truth and the life, (John 14:6) yet that doesn’t mean He is just the means to an end, He is the destination. Jesus is not just the path to heaven; He is the point of heaven. #HeavenStudy

I got to share this with a student today who was feeling down on himself because of his dyslexia. He was SO excited to know that a person with dyslexia could do amazing things like this! Then he wanted to read to me! A WIN!!! #PKVProud

YES! Sometimes we expect quick decoding skills too soon. I try to remember that a caterpillar only becomes a butterfly through struggle! #PKVProud

Highly recommend this book for PreK-1st grade teachers. Building a child's oral language is crucial for developing readers and writers. #PKVProud
