An interdisciplinary study Matthias Mann Lab & UChicago Obstetrics and Gynecology Department uncovers how benign borderline ovarian tumors develop into invasive low-grade serous carcinoma, opening a new avenue for targeted therapy. ❕Publication: cell.com/cancer-cell/fu… ❕Press Release: biochem.mpg.de/when-tumors-tu…

Proud to share our latest work now in Cancer Cell. In collaboration with Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB), we map the progression from borderline ovarian tumors to low-grade serous ovarian cancer & propose a promising new therapeutic strategy. sciencedirect.com/science/articl… #LGSC #SBT

Exciting opportunity for a postdoc position with the exceptional Thierry Nordmann on the topic of inflammatory skin disease. A great and inspiring environment that I can highly recommend!

New bioRxiv ! With Dr. Maitra Anirban Maitra (MD Anderson Cancer Center) & Nebraska Rapid Autopsy Program, we used AI-powered Deep Visual Proteomics to map early molecular changes in pancreatic cancer precursor lesions. Read: bit.ly/4nAqPK8 #SpatialMedicine #PDAC

Very excited to share our preprint on #AI directed Deep Visual Proteomics (DVP) on #PancreaticCancer precursor lesions (PanINs), in collaboration with OmicVision Andreas Mund Thousands of proteins from as few as ~100 precisely microdissected cells in archival samples!

New study from Ralph Weichselbaum and team show high-dose radiation triggers amphiregulin, a protein that weakens immunity and fuels distant cancer spread—pointing to new strategies for blocking its effects. Sean Pitroda, M.D. Andras Piffko University of Chicago Radiation Oncology nature ow.ly/HgVU50Wn6ZY

Excited to see this masterpiece out nature today. In this study, JannaHeide, Andras Piffko, Ernst Lengyel & colleagues Lengyel Lab unraveled molecular mechanisms of NNMT in ovarian cancer and developed a specific inhibitor. A highly promising therapeutic avenue.

Check out the current issue of Cancer Cell featuring our work on the malignant progression of borderline ovarian tumors on its cover. A team effort between Lengyel Lab UChicago Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Matthias Mann Lab Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB).
