If he is to replace the Penske bound Malukas in the #4, it’d be a very smart move. Foyt’s partnership with Penske and the paddock-wide understanding that the #2 could potentially be open for 2027 would put Veekay in prime position to move into one of the most coveted seats.

Call me crazy, but seems if you've got your new driver of the No. 12 signed, announced & clear to work, that should allow you to release the driver he's replacing from his contract that still has 3.5 months on it, where he'll perform no more meaningful work. But that's just me.

NEWS: Dale Coyne Racing has announced that INDY NXT by Firestone champ Dennis Hauger will race for the team in NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2026. Coyne has also entered into a technical alliance with Andretti INDYCAR & INDY NXT, where Hauger raced in NXT in ‘25 (& where he’s likely to be in ‘27) for this next season.
