One of our young people has started to teach her mentor how to crochet🧶 Now they are planning their mentor meetings around what new crochet skills the mentor can learn and are building a project together, a great way to spend their time! #NewSkills #MentoringMatters

S2's have started preparing for moving onto mentoring in S3. This week they explored the key values and skills that make a great mentor - including being respectful, understanding and listening skills✨❤️

🌟Mentor Spotlight Alan has been mentoring Irvine Royal Academy since October 2022 and today he and his mentee achieved their 80th mentor meeting together. To mark the occasion, Alan was presented with a Head Teachers Excellence award. Thank you Alan for your continued support! 👏

Great visit to Annick PS & EYC this morning to support a fantastic session with P6 pupils! The workshop was planned and delivered by some of our S2s, giving the younger pupils a brilliant chance to build their teamwork skills. A great time was had in the sunshine 🌞👏

Some of our senior pupils have had their final mentor meetings recently as they prepare to leave school. A time for reflection, celebration, and looking ahead — we're so proud of all they've achieved and wish them good luck as they prepare for the next part of their journey!

Final S2 group work session of the year ✅ Marking the end of 2 years of weekly sessions with some Uno and sweet treats. Now our young people move onto the Mentoring side of the programme and are looking forward to what's ahead!👏
