Senior library people, instead of making life difficult for junior staff try mentoring them. Try creating a positive legacy and leaving the place better than you found it. It'll take far less effort than the hate and toxicity.

Can library managers ease up on evaluation of shelving and shifting for pages - everyone can make mistakes from time to time - it's the ones who learn from them are the keepers - who can sustain a great level of accuracy for four hours + per day?

Softlaunching is such an utter disease at academic libraries. Betrays a total mealymouthed lack of confidence in your own ideas. No wonder we struggle so much to be taken seriously.
