I broke into comics at 40. I’m 44 now, and have roughly 350+ illustrations for clients like Marvel, DC, Sony, Paramount, Coca Cola, Square Enix, Porsche and many others. I also didn’t draw for my entire 20s, and had to relearn to draw after vision issues at 30. Stick with it.

At 36 I made it a goal to break into comics. At 41 my 1st logo was published. At 45 my 1st authored book saw print. At 50 I helped start up a publisher. Now at 57, I've managed to help run the publisher while continuing to design and write countless books.

It's the 40th Anniversary of a series that's had a profound impact on my life. I couldn't think of a better figure to post today than the Missing Link Convoy figures: taking the 40+ year old Battle Convoy mold and giving it modern articulation. Thank you, Transformers.
