Istio 1.22 is out 🎉 with a lot of new features:
- Ambient mode now in Beta.
- Istio APIs promoted to v1.
- Gateway API now Stable for service mesh
- Delta xDS now on by default

Amazing!! get “mtls” and mutual authentication between services FOR FREE with Istio ambient and no sidecars. This is the ONLY sidecar-free service mesh implementation that’s now ready for production usage.
