Suspending State Accountability measures should be strongly considered during Covid-19. But, should States not be developing accountable measures for online learning? And should not state and federal governments not be doing whatever it takes to provide WiFi to all kids?

Terry Grier Isn't thisTHE moment to move away from high stakes standardized testing? We should embrace a standards based growth mindset for individual Ss, believe in moving each S forward at their pace toward their goals for learning, and YES, wifi for all to keep everyone SAFE.

During COVID-19, states should be redesigning accountability standards that focus on competencies that matter in the ‘real world.’ Focus on academic growth, skill demonstration, and early literacy proficiency. Construct a systems that takes advantage of technology vs blaming it.

The stress is real! I just took a short walk to focus on a little self-care. Be sure to check in with the teachers in your life! Ask how they are holding up these days. It may be a nice reminder for them to check in with their levels of self care.
