Learned a lot about my former profession of journalism in the past 48 hours. There are journalists who are human and offer condolences when they reach out recognizing they are asking something of grieving people. Others don’t and I can’t fathom why or what happened to them.

In Prince George’s this morning, the 12 officers making up the PGPDNEWS SOD Marine Unit & dive team are being honored. This is the team that discovered the bodies of the only two Francis Scott Key Bridge victims recovered so far. FOX 5 DC

KING DOUGLAS WAY unveiled in Prince George’s Co. & Council proclaims April 20th King Douglas Day. King’s mother & community leaders, including Chair Jolene Ivey & CM Calvin Hawkins, gathered in Forestville where King, 13, was murdered 3 years ago. King’s memory will live on!

Another amazing moment from the street sign unveiling for 13-year-old King Douglas. Council Member Calvin Hawkins presented a $5,000 check to King’s mother for her son’s charity, the For King We Stand Foundation.
