Growing Works is holding a fall festival today. The Camarillo native plant nursery is run and staffed by Turning Point, a nonprofit that provides shelter, supported housing and rehabilitation programs for adults struggling with mental illness and veterans, many of them homeless.

More great team work on homelessness and affordability! In last 5 years County of Ventura helped to bring over 1,000 units of supportive housing, 600 shelter spaces, and 100s in project Room Key. Partnerships are bringing ~1,000 affordable homes in 3 years too. Still, more to do.
