If anyone sees any tiny blue sharks this year in the S and west of the U.K. (lesser spotted dogfish size) could they send a picture. We are particularly interested in the underside of the pup as it will allow NOAA to age the fish & get an idea of how close the pupping occurred

55-years-ago on 20 July 1969 Apollo 11’s Eagle touched down on the moon. “Tranquility base here. The Eagle has landed” First words spoken on moon by Neil Armstrong on landing and 1st heard on earth at NASA's Devil's Ashpit Tracking Station on Ascension Island, closed in 1989.

The first place on earth to hear these amazing words was the NASA station here on #AscensionIsland The base and remains of the satellites are still in place and are a popular site for islanders to hike around and have picnics.

New paper. The scalloped bonnethead is a critically endangered, small species of hammerhead. Using telemetry we show these sharks are highly residential to small coastal areas of Colombia. This could make well placed and enforced MPAs effective tools.
