Bristol Airport expansion allowed by the High Court. This is a devastating outcome. It tramples on local democracy and would mean 1000s of extra flights producing a million tonnes of CO2 equivalents every year. Bristol Airport Action Network - BAAN are going to try to take it to the Court of Appeal.
🟢 .The Green Party's win in a local Bristol by-election also means that they now hold 12 of the 14 council seats in the new Bristol Central constituency.
Hope you can make our rally tomorrow (Sat 4th Feb). 12 noon on College Green. Time to come together to show our support for people & planet and call for coherent planning laws that at the moment are out-dated in allowing a major carbon emitter like Bristol Airport - to expand.
