Over 45-hours of Track & Field action at the New Balance Nationals Indoors wraps up the TRACK at new balance today with the Championship 4x400 relay. Anthony Abbott, Dylan Giles, Colin Irwin, and Elijah Wolinski try to improve on their school record 3:28.55

That’s a wrap on NBNI. The quartet of Abbott, Irwin, Giles, and Wolinski win their 4x4 heat in 3:30.76.

MIAA Meet of Champions today at Reggie. Had to be top 24 in the entire state to go: Colin Irwin-600m Ryan Brooks-LJ Julian Sacca-Shot + Weight Kevin Conte-Weight Irwin, Dylan Giles, Alex Murray, Krish Almeida-4x400m Relay.

ML-Freedom Champions. 2nd at MSTCA State Relays. 2nd at MIAA Divisionals (out of 43 teams). Burlington High Boys Track & Field.

Needing points to stay in the hunt for a trophy, Irwin and Dutta doubled back to join with Murray and Giles to crush their 13th place seed in the 4x4 with 4th in 3:29.70. Alts. Nick Abbott, Almeida, Eshaan Kansagra, Isaac Muwanguzi.

An excerpt from tonight’s Senior Awards banquet, because they certainly don’t get the recognition they deserve: In 12 seasons of XC, Indoor, and Spring Track the graduating seniors had 8 undefeated ML-Freedom championship seasons.

They won 3 MIAA Championships. They were MIAA runners-up 4x and twice finished third (no tourney 2 of those 12 seasons due to Covid). In spring track, they never lost a dual meet; they won 1 State Championship, 3 Relays and never finished worse than 3rd in any Championship meet.

Special shout out to Colin Irwin for being named the male Scholar Athlete.
