Today was AMAZING! Our third grade students, parents, and staff came together on a Saturday to build this amazing garden space for our kids! We are ready to take our learning outside the 4 walls of the classroom! Thank you NHCS Emerging Leaders and Porters Neck Elementary School for the support!

Students need recess, unstructured play, physical education, all the Arts, and their extracurricular activities! That's how we make their social/emotional health a priority.

Today, students researched St. Patrick's Day, Ireland, or the Great Potato Famine. We took notes on key details, generated a main idea sentence, and published our paragraphs. Next, we made Potato People who read our nonfiction paragraphs on ChatterPix

So true. Such radio silence from communities as well. It's like no one knows how close to the brink we are.
