I am reading so much more at the moment because I’m not so completely exhausted to my bone from being stressed and overwhelmed and anxious working a full time job, which is so so lovely, but also I want to be back in work, it’s hard being out of work financially and boredom wise

I don’t really think healing has an end date, especially when you have been through prolonged and extensive trauma. I truly believe that healing is an ongoing and life long journey that changes and flexes around you as you grow. As you learn more about yourself and the world.

I really enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would, simply based on the fact that I HATE the cover of the book. I’m such a pain for always judging a book by its cover, but being forced to read this for the book club massively made me want to stop judging & start reading

The way we police what is ‘healthy’ & ‘normal’ in a relationship by things like sleeping in the same bed, how quickly you move in together, how often you have sex etc, and not things like communication, ability to resolve disagreements, showing each other respect etc, is so weird
